We are currently looking for a Chief Development Officer. This position will be based in our administrative office located in Midtown Atlanta with some travel to our camps located in Rutledge and Winder, Georgia.
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) reports directly to the CEO, serves as a member of the executive team, and plays a critical role in leading the efforts of a successful organization. The CDO works closely with the CEO and board of directors to develop and implement strategies to drive fundraising revenue and brand awareness. This role brings the vision, drive, and creativity to reach ambitious annual fundraising goals (currently $5.5m). The CDO will work with a level of autonomy and independence within the organization and leverage the skills and capabilities of a talented team. The CDO should possess both the big-picture strategic approach and appreciation for detail driven work. The role requires fluency and confidence in the leadership space with the ability to translate down to the operational level.
Requires a minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in fundraising, development, marketing or related roles within the nonprofit sector.
