    Self Development is looking for a Special Education Teacher who will lead the facilitation and implementation of specially designed instruction, goal setting, and progress monitoring for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), nurturing strong relationships with the students and coach. The candidate selected will oversee the special education students and supporting and coaching teachers and instructional assistants responsible for planning and implementing specially designed instruction, accommodations and modifications.

    Qualifications and Skills

    · Bachelor’s degree in Education

    · Two years of Special Education experience preferred

    · Certification in Special Education from the State of Arizona

    · Knowledge of state and federal compliance regulations for special education under IDEA, ADA Section 504 and federal compliance requirements.

    · Experience supporting school administrative teams in developing and implementing instructionally sound SPED programs.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • The Special Education Teacher will work with students, teachers, staff, and parents in support of exceptional student services on campus, providing and coordinating IEP support as well as identifying, in collaboration with stakeholders, needs and support for students.
    • You will be responsible for collaborating with related service providers and general education staff in the implementation of accommodations and modifications.
    • You will aid the coordinator in drafting and maintaining IEPs. You will assist the coordinator in planning and facilitating meetings throughout the special education process.
    • You will be responsible for ongoing communication and collaboration with parents, staff, and administrative staff regarding student planning and progress
    • You will be responsible for managing the transition of new enrollees eligible for special education and related services.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
