Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist directs the Diagnostic Imaging Department's operations including nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Supervises new testing procedures and related protocol. Being a Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist regulates the maintenance of departmental facilities, supplies, equipment, and material in a manner to promote health, comfort, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment.     What you will do in this role:

    • You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
    • You will assist physicians in procedures.
    • You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.
    • You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
    • You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.
    • You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

    Requirements:

    • Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
    • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
    • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
    • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
    • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
    • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
