Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist directs the Diagnostic Imaging Department's operations including nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Supervises new testing procedures and related protocol. Being a Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist regulates the maintenance of departmental facilities, supplies, equipment, and material in a manner to promote health, comfort, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. This position is working as a Radiology Technician while enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program and learning how to provide patients with highly technical radiological procedures.

This position requires State of Washington Registration as an X-Ray Technician; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology; strong organizational skills; a willingness to grow with technological changes occurring in the field; the ability to manage stressful situations appropriately; the ability to attend to multiple tasks and work independently; and the ability to be versatile, flexible and be able to lift 50 pounds. This position also requires a CPR license to be renewed every two years. A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health Compliance requirements.
