Chief Diagnostic Imaging Operations Technologist jobs in Springfield, MO

Essential Functions:

• Review work schedules and assign duties to workers to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals.
• Oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment, such as x-ray machine, fluoroscope, CT scanner, or MRI equipment.
• Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Develops and implements plans, policies. and procedures regarding operations and staffing, and the purchasing of radiology supplies. 
• Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. 
• Provides input into developing the budget. 
• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. 
• Communicate with physicians and providers to ensure standard of care is met. 
• Achieve productivity goal. 
• Assign work and duty requirement to staff.
• Audit charges and modifiers. 
• Timely submission of electronic payroll. 
• Prepares critical results report and posts monthly. 
• Conducts staff and patient rounding. 

Skills Abilities:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
• Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. 
• Effective oral and written communication skills. 

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
• Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.

Physical Demands:

• Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 12 hours or longer per day.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements:

• Credential with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• 3 years experience in a management/ supervisory role.

Preferred Requirements:

• Certified Radiology Administrator
• Bachelors degree in healthcare
