Chief Enrollment Management Officer jobs in New Brunswick, NJ

A member of the President’s Cabinet, this position is charged with expanding Georgian Court’s undergraduate, graduate, online, and continuing education market enrollments. The Vice President will understand the unique features of GCU including the University’s accessibility to transfer students, commuter students, first generation college students and students who are Pell eligible. 

This position requires both broad oversight as well as a hands-on management style, including a working knowledge of current best practices in student recruitment and enrollment. Effective communication and networking skills are essential, and a proven track record of working effectively across departments throughout an institution is important. Strong marketing sensibilities and the ability to work cross-departmentally to develop and implement marketing plans is essential.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement an annual recruitment plan informed by data and encompassing best practices in technology, campus-wide participation and information management, in collaboration with other members of the university.
• Leverage institutional, state and federal financial aid resources to achieve optimal entering and continuing enrollment of undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop and continuously improve enrollment services to provide students, their families and the GCU community with the highest levels of efficiency, courtesy and professionalism.
• Develop and achieve long-range recruitment targets in consultation with campus executive leadership.
• Provide leadership, development and supervision for staff.
• Demonstrate excellent understanding of marketing strategies in recruitment.
• Form and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, students and staff, and with external constituencies.
• Develop and manage the operating budget for recruitment and enrollment functions.
• Leverage existing technology and implement emerging technologies to create and maintain the strongest possible market position and efficiency of enrollment services.
• Stay apprised of best practices in enrollment management nationally and regionally, in particular among institutions of similar size and nature.
• Develop interim semester enrollment opportunities that will enhance student ability to complete degree requirements in a timely fashion.
• Create a student ombudsman structure to help advocate for student needs.

Miscellaneous/secondary responsibilities that are sometimes involved in this job:

• Serve as member of various University-wide committees.
• Represent the University to various organizations statewide and in the national level relating to admissions and enrollment. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in working with college students.
• Extensive leadership experience in college admissions and a sophisticated understanding of enrollment strategies, market research, admissions, financial aid, and student information systems.
• Demonstrated success in planning and implementing programs.
