Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to support our Kansas Market. We are looking for someone with at least 3 to 5 years of Acute Care Hospital experience. Someone with a solid understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and expense control. Education and Work Experience
1. Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance or closely related field.
2. Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.
3. Progressively responsible position in the Accounting profession.
4. Familiarity with computer accounting programs.
5. CPA preferred
6. Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organization preferred.
7. Five to seven years’ experience in hospital accounting/finance required; two years in management preferred.
8. Management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations.
9. Knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations.
