Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief executive officer (CEO) or chief operating officer (COO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Your Role as Chief Financial Officer:
As Chief Financial Officer, you will be at the helm of financial operations, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the company through periods of growth and ensuring financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to support long-term growth objectives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
- Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to drive financial performance.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks while maximizing opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and optimize financial processes.
- Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance departmental capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Asset Liability Management experience required.
- Credit or banking industry experience strongly preferred.
