Position Description: The Senior ISSO will assist the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FLENUMMETOCCEN/FNMOC) in completing Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and ATO packages for classified and unclassified networks. Additionally, the ISSO will assist the on-site Navy Validator and FNMOC ISSM in all aspects of FISMA cybersecurity compliance, to include planning, testing and reporting. All documentation will be in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies. FNMOC is located in Monterey, California, and this is a full-time on-site position. Job Duties: The ISSO will support the following activities: A&A efforts and package development (RMF) Security Authorization Package (SAP) development Security Assessment Plan development Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) Risk Assessment, audits and inspections Security control implementation testing Intrusion Detection System (IDS) monitoring Cybersecurity policy review & guidance development Liaison/Collaboration/Checkpoint/Compliance tracking and status assistance RMF efforts and approvals Required Experience: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber engineering, IT, or information assurance Experience with NIST and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Experience with implementing and assessing the implementation of DoD STIGs Experience with conducting and interpreting ACAS vulnerability scanning and reporting Knowledge of DoD policies, processes, and procedures related to common duties for Information System Security Engineers Ability to execute cybersecurity and validation testing of IT hardware and software to identify, track, and remediate ongoing IT vulnerabilities Ability to develop DoD security policy and requirements, and communicate recommendations HS Diploma or GED CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security , or equivalent certification DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level II Baseline Certification The anticipated compensation for the position is $130,000-$160,000 based on a full-time schedule.
