Lowell Catholic Schools is seeking an innovative, energetic, and motivated professional to join our team and serve in the role of the IT Manager position. Reporting to the Head of School, the IT Manager will oversee the school’s technology needs. This includes, but is not limited to networking, data security, periodic checks, hardware selection and budgeting, daily operations of the technology department and the day-to-day operation of the central data processing system of the school.
You will also be overseeing the IT Technicians, software licensing, inventory, system backups, keeping antivirus software up to date, and other technical related activities as necessary. This includes Compliance Management, Operations Management Infrastructure, Cloud Security, Network/Server, and Patch Management will be part of the day-to-day duties.
Overview:
· Responsible for support over 500 users between 5 buildings (all on 1 campus location)
· Purchase and obtain software, hardware, and other related technology.
· Ensure security of data, network access and backups for all locations.
· Experience with supporting faculty and student accounts.
· Must have solid hands-on PC & Networking, break fix, and support experience.
· Experience with Installation of hardware and software (Network & PC)
· Apply a management framework to IT Service projects.
· Install, Configure and maintain operating systems.
· Diagnose, repair, and replace outdated or broken equipment.
· Supervise IT Service Center staff and their ongoing schedule of work.
· Maintain email accounts in conjunction with the email vendor.
· Manage, monitor, and optimize systems – (Rediker, Google G Suite, Chromebook Soft
· Initiate and access appropriate professional development for the IT Services team.
· Create and maintain documentation for technology policies and procedures including mapping out network directories, email accounts, disaster recovery, security plan and vendor log.
· Audit systems and assess their effectiveness and outcomes.
· Maintain school website, email accounts, and employee access.
· Professional role model for staff and students.
· Must have knowledge of HIPPA, PCI-DSS and safety protocols.
· Works cooperatively with school administrators and staff to ensure that appropriate services are available.
· Vendor Management
· Research and apply for available technology grants.
Qualifications:
· 5 years’ proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant work experience.
· Excellent knowledge of technical management, computer hardware /software systems and information analysis.
· Experience with data center management and data governance.
· Hands on experience with network administration, network installations and troubleshooting.
· Academia background is a plus.
· HIPPA & PCI Compliance knowledge
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Able to lift 35lbs
· Ability to manager personnel
· BS in Computer Science degree, MIS etc.
