    The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of GoTriangle's information technology (IT) systems and infrastructure. This includes managing IT projects, ensuring data security and compliance, and leading a team of IT professionals. The CIO partners with the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team, and other key leaders to provide vision and leadership for the agency's IT systems and infrastructure, developing and implementing information technology initiatives to support innovation and growth in conjunction with the overall agency strategy. The CIO leads all areas of IT including infrastructure/operations, information and cybersecurity, enterprise applications/integration, testing, software engineering, and strategic delivery.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participates in the strategic and operational planning processes of the agency as a member of the executive leadership team.
    • Supports organizational growth by establishing and leading IT strategy that takes advantage of established and emerging technologies, while partnering with leadership throughout the agency to support business needs.
    • Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all technology systems, including networks, connectivity, backup & and storage, and infrastructure across the agency.
    • Lead and inspire a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration, professional development, and a culture of innovation.
    • Establish and manage a responsive IT service desk. Ensure timely resolution of user issues and provide exceptional customer support. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement industry standard technology solutions that drive operational efficiency, improve employee experience, and enable growth. Ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of systems.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and digital transformation within the IT department and across the organization. Develop strategies to optimize data collection, storage, and analytics capabilities to drive informed decision-making and deliver business insights.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect the organization's data, systems, and infrastructure from cyber threats. This includes overseeing security measures, incident response plans, and compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in areas of data confidentiality, data integrity, data availability (business continuity planning), vendor management and IT management.
    • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in technology to align with business priorities. Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining performance. Work with the CEO and leadership team setting the short- and long-term technology goals while providing the management necessary to achieve revenue growth and other goals and intentions of the agency through technology.
    • Provide regular reports to executive leadership on IT performance, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, challenges, and successes. Prepares and analyzes monthly department reports to monitor performance, measure service levels, and support recommendations for action items or projects to meet strategic goals. Provides reporting to senior leadership as required.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • At least 10 years of working experience in a senior IT leadership role, with a track record of success in driving IT initiatives and achieving business results.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards including HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, SOC2, and others - with a commitment to stay informed and compliant as business and industry evolves.
    • Demonstrated record of successfully leading agencies through complex IT changes and alignment with security and regulatory compliance.
    • Demonstrated success in developing, implementing, and maintaining IT solutions that align with business objectives. Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, security, data management, and emerging technologies.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the agency.
    • Strong experience designing and administering enterprise architecture inclusive of cloud environments.
    • Experience in IT Operations, networking, server and network systems, firewalls, virtual private networks, access controls, and Microsoft Active Directory.
    • Experience recommending new technologies or technology enhancements to improve customer delivery, reduce costs, and/or to provide a strategic advantage.
    • Understanding of next-gen technologies to grow the business capabilities, such as Ai, Proficient in Microsoft office software suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the above stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

    Working Conditions:

    Works in an environment with minimum dust, noise, or temperature exposure. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions, including dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting operating facilities, during which the incumbent should observe all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and use all protective clothing and devices provided.


    Physical Requirements:

    Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
