The Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our team supporting the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA). The DoIT Team at IEMA is leading a transformation to modernize the way citizens interact with the State of Illinois agency responsible for preparing for and coordinating responses to emergencies. The CIO should have in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field and be highly proficient in the discipline of software development, project management, and team development. The successful candidate will need to be highly analytical, professional, communicate effectively, and possess excellent organizational skills. The selected candidate will apply data strategies, improve delivery, and continue to align with enterprise direction to ensure compliance across all systems and applications within the IEMA CIO’s purview. The candidate will have experience managing customer relationships, collaborating with architects, team leads, designers, product managers, quality control, documentation, and executive team members. 25% Serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Department of Innovation and Technology-IL Emergency Management Agency (IEMA);
20% As the Chief Information Officer for IEMA, develops technology vision, leadership and strategic directions for information technology (IT) that address the needs of the Agency.
15% Serves as full-line supervisor:
10% Ensures availability of IT staff for state emergency and disaster calls requiring IT involvement and assistance:
10% Determines appropriate security measures and creates policies and procedures which monitor and control access to system resources and data:
