Leaf Chief is a lean and growing Cannabis producer and processor. We are looking for an experienced grower to join our team and bring production and work ethic along with an opinion on overall grow processes. Candidate expected to work around 50 hours a week including 8-5 during normal business hours and some weekend work.
Duties:
Take direction from the grow lead and not deviate from that direction
High degree of productivity on all grow processes
Walking the grow rooms daily and spotting and correcting problems
Ensuring grow room is clean and compliant
Mixing and applying nutrients and soil, cloning, growing from seed, managing and identifying strains and phenotypes, repotting/transplanting, pruning, topping, harvesting, etc.
Supply farm with oral and written reports of grow process
Assist with the creation of a growing procedure manual
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and vendor days
Some social media interactions
Work with our CRM system and traceability software system
Proper use of time tracking software and working to a schedule
Very strict legal compliance in a highly regulated industry
Sobriety on the job
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ideal candidate will have:
I-502 Cannabis industry experience
Traceability systems experience such as Grow Flow
Knowledge of Cannabinoids and Terpene profiles of Cannabis flower
Knowledge of Organic grow processes
Effective oral and written communication skills
High degree of technical ability
Required and preferred experience and knowledge:
Preferred at least 5 years horticulture experience
Preferred at least 5 years experience in Cannabis growing
Required extensive knowledge and passion for indoor Cannabis cultivation
Required experience with a variety of grow mediums, irrigation systems, and climate control equipment
Experience with organic pest management practices and predator pests
Required understanding of different fertilizers, nutrients, and plant deficiencies
Required High School Diploma
Preferred Bachelors degree in a relevant subject such as horticulture, botany, agriculture, chemistry, etc.
Required 21 years of age or older
Required pass background check
