Being a Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) selects books and publications for purchase and subscribes to pertinent periodicals as allowed for by the given budget. Responds to more complex requests from faculty, medical staff, and students. Additionally, Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) possess broad and current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature. Requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a director. The Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. About The Position
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Jacksonville is responsible for providing leadership to associates at all Jacksonville locations while working collaboratively with the site practice administrator, chief nursing officer, president, and other medical and senior leaders. The CMO focuses on strategic planning, academic advancements, continuous improvement, quality & safety, and ensuring evidence–based care delivery. This position provides senior executive and physician leadership to Nemours Specialty Care- Jacksonville.
