Nemours Children’s Health Jacksonville, FL, seeks a full-time Vice President Chief Medical Officer. This position reports to the President of North Florida. 

About The Position

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Jacksonville is responsible for providing leadership to associates at all Jacksonville locations while working collaboratively with the site practice administrator, chief nursing officer, president, and other medical and senior leaders.  The CMO focuses on strategic planning, academic advancements, continuous improvement, quality & safety, and ensuring evidence–based care delivery. This position provides senior executive and physician leadership to Nemours Specialty Care- Jacksonville.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operational and financial performance of the Physician practices. 
• Works collaboratively with senior leaders to ensure the efficient and safe clinical operations of the clinic.
• Responsible for the clinical quality and safety of Jacksonville, Florida, operations in collaboration with the

Nemours Florida Chief of Quality Safety and Clinical Analytics.

• Supports and actively leads the clinical, research, and teaching component of the Nemours Mission. 
• Provides regular reports to the Florida Board of Managers and the Operations & Quality Committee of the Nemours Foundation Board of Directors.  
• Actively collaborates with other physician and administrative leaders throughout Florida and the Nemours Enterprise, accomplishing the strategy and fulfilling the Nemours Mission and Vision. 
• Leads, demonstrates and supports the Nemours Standards of Behavior and organizational culture. 
• Actively supports and leads Nemour's Continuous Improvement (CI) journey and the Next Frontier strategic goals, driving value to the patient and family and eliminating waste.
• Actively supports Nemours Florida network development strategy as a key supporting member of the network operations team to expand the clinical network and develop community hospital partnerships.
• Actively supports the Family Advisory Council and the family-centered care philosophy embraced by Nemours.

Requirements

• At least five years of leadership experience
• Have a current FL medical license or be able to obtain an unrestricted FL medical license.
• Boarded in their respected Specialty. 
• Post Graduate Degree such as an M.D. Ph.D., D.O., M.B.A (MBA preferred but not required), or foreign equivalent. 
• Participation in research and publications
