Chief Medical Officer directs the staff and develops policies for the organization's clinical programs. Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Being a Chief Medical Officer oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulations and standards. Evaluates developments and innovations in medical care and makes recommendations for new practices and procedures. Additionally, Chief Medical Officer advises CEO and medical teams on matters impacting patient care. Requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Typically reports to top management. The Chief Medical Officer manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. As community-based hospital, the medical center offers a full spectrum of healthcare programs and Centers of Excellence.  The hospital is a Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma Center and it provides immediate care to infants, children and adolescents with life-threatening traumatic injuries 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.

    As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Nurse Officer CNO will be responsible for overseeing effective day-to-day operations, short and long range planning, strategic marketing and business plan development to ensure marketplace competitiveness, the development of new services and programs, effective fiscal management, and effective quality improvement and quality control processes.

    The Chief Nursing Executive CNE will be recommending and implementing innovative organizational structures and delivery models which support the safe and effective provision of patient care, treatment and services and the development and support of a practice environment, which enables the recruitment and retention of a high functioning staff.

    The Chief Nursing Executive CNE will be responsible for the provision of nursing services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Chief Nursing Officer CNO will establish one standard of nursing practice throughout the organization and is final authority over staff who provide nursing care, treatment and services, and is responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.
