Chief Medical Technologist jobs in Fayetteville, NC
Chief Medical Technologist oversees and administers a variety of chemical, bacteriologic, and microscopic tests. Devises work schedules and allocates duties to laboratory staff. Being a Chief Medical Technologist verifies accuracy and validity of test results. Instructs trainees in procedures and techniques of performing tests. Additionally, Chief Medical Technologist requires a bachelor's degree. Requires professional certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Medical Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Medical Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Description:
The selected applicant will be eligible for up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus and will provide health care related imaging services to patients of all ages through the use of ultrasonic recording in the areas of OB/GYN, general abdomen, vascular system and small parts. The Ultrasound Technologist duties are performed within the framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center policies and procedures and current professional standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist and Ultrasound Training program.
- Registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Registry or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS preferred.
Hours of Work:
Hours will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with rotating call. Planned schedule is work 3 days one week, 4 days the next week, 4 days the following week and 3 days again. May work other hours or days for the effective operation of department.
