Additionally, Chief Medical Technologist requires a bachelor's degree. Requires professional certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Medical Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Position Summary
Testing Personnel will be responsible for specimen processing, test performance, reporting test results and working closely with other clinical and non-clinical staff to aid in patient assessments and care. The technologist will only perform tests that are authorized by the Laboratory Director and that are within the individual’s skill level as determined by education, training or experience, and technical abilities.
