Chief Medical Technologist oversees and administers a variety of chemical, bacteriologic, and microscopic tests. Devises work schedules and allocates duties to laboratory staff. Being a Chief Medical Technologist verifies accuracy and validity of test results. Instructs trainees in procedures and techniques of performing tests. Additionally, Chief Medical Technologist requires a bachelor's degree. Requires professional certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Medical Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Medical Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. SALUD began in Watsonville in 1978 as a storefront “free clinic,” and with a growing need for health services, in 1992 became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Today SALUD is a primary health care network with 11 clinic sites and over 400 employees. We provide high quality services to patients of all ages.     We are seeking a Pediatrics Physician who will work under the supervision of the Director of Pediatrics to provide medical administration for a non-profit community health clinic.

    SALARY & BENEFITS:

    Salary:  $109.65 - $125.73/hr

    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Valid California Physician’s license, DEA license and CPR certificate
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics preferred

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Practice
    • Fluent Spanish/English
