PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Chief Operations Officer (COO) serves as the executive leader responsible for the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the district. This key role optimizes processes and ensures operational excellence across all departments, encompassing facilities maintenance and operations, warehousing, transportation, school nutrition programs, and construction. The COO's responsible for future planning, anticipating, and preparing for the district's needs based on growth projections and changes in academic programming. The COO ensures that the work of the operations divisions aligns closely with and supports the advancement of the district's strategic plan. They ensure that operational efforts contribute directly to the district's overarching student achievement goals.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will be considered “at will.” This position is "essential personnel, critical staff" when there is an event that creates security challenges or disruptions to district operations. This position may be required to work during identified periods of an emergency as defined in Policy Regulation GBRB-R, Title: Professional Personnel Time Schedules. Incumbent will be considered "atwill." Appropriate pay will be determined based on Grade A-1 of the Administrative Scale and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources. The work calendar will be 250 days.
