Role and Responsibilities
Arrow Electric is a growing company, and we need someone to be the right-hand person to our President and Vice President. We're searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business from a creative point of view. The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of our industry. Responsibilities may include:
· Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
· Implement business strategies and plans that align with our short- and long- term objectives developed with the President and VP.
· Oversee operations, Project Management, Safety, HR, Accounting and other departments and partner with the President and VP to ensure objectives are being met.
· Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
· Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
· Work with HR to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
· Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.
· Identify bottlenecks and issues within a policy or procedure and offer resolutions to ensure efficiency.
· Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
· Other additional related tasks and duties as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar education.
Master’s degree or further education in a related field encouraged;
5 years of experience in executive leadership roles within the Electrical Industry.
Solid grasp of data analysis and Performance metrics
Work Environment
The office role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The office is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Preferred Skills
Project Management expierence a plus
Excellent communication skills, Technical Management, Quality Focus, Ability to use basic Microsoft programs and email, Resource and Time Management, Knowledgeable in materials, methods and tools.
Additional Notes
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm; overtime may be necessary.
