Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) pilots aircraft following standard operating procedures to ensure that flights operate according to all regulations, safety, and company policies. Follows required procedures to perform pre-flight checks and inspections. Being a Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) determines flight routes, speed, take-off, and landing times that will fulfill scheduling requirements. Completes required documentation and performs post-flight procedures as required. Additionally, Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) may require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to chief pilot. The Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) works autonomously. Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Helicopter Pilot with experience.
Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is seeking an experienced Helicopter Pilot with instrument rating, to transport employees to and from our facilities. We purchased a NEW, fully equiped, Raven 44 II helicopter that just came off the assembly line this month. Equipment includes full glass 750 panel, autopilot, AC, etc. We need a pilot that will be fully responsible for the aircraft and it's piloting. Job duties are to fly the aircraft, schedule maintenence and completing the correct paperwork for all aspects related to this position.
We currently operate from 6 facilities in OH, PA, NY and NJ. We expect to be operating in Ontario in the coming months.
This is a new position and requires an experienced pilot, preferably a flight instructor that is focused on safety and has a keen understanding of what needs to be done.
Current flight expectations will be 2-3 business flights, per week, that are typically same day. The rest of the time will be devoted to flight training, maintenance and assisting law enforcement.
The position is typically for day operations. There maybe overnights and it will be discussed and negotiated, in advance, during the interview process.
The aircraft is hangered at the Niagara Falls International Airport, in a exclusive single aircraft hangar located at the Calspan Facility.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Minimum 5 years of full time helicopter piloting experience
-Excellent understanding of flight rules and civil aviation regulations
-Excellent understanding of aircraft safety and PM schedules
-Valid pilots license and medical
