Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees radiologic services, maintains technical aspects of radiologic safety and evaluates accuracy and quality of X-rays. Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Radiologic Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Radiologic Technologist Opportunity:

    • Full-time permanent position
    • Level IV Trauma Center
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday Day Shift Outpatient
    • Call Required (Every other weekend and some nights)
    • Relocation Assistance provided.

    Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities:

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision unless direct supervision is required.
    • Properly identifies cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area of imaging with corresponding patient file.
    • Provides care appropriate for the neonate and the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
    • Assesses and interprets data on neonate and the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients' status to identify patients' requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provides care needed as stipulated in departmental policy.
    • Prepares reports and maintains records as report scanning into P.A.C.S.

    Radiologic Technologist Requirements:

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • ARRT Registered
    • BLS Certification
    • CT and X-ray experience required.
    • Willing to be cross trained in MRI
