Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees radiologic services, maintains technical aspects of radiologic safety and evaluates accuracy and quality of X-rays. Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Radiologic Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Just 4 Kids Urgent Care, a state of the art pediatric facility is currently seeking a part or full-time Radiologic Technologist. Rad Techs that join the J4K team will be responsible for performing various clinical duties including radiologic examinations of pediatric patients while creating a superior patient experience.

    Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is open from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. seven days per week. Full-time staff work three 12-hour shifts in a week and part-time staff work two 12-hour shifts.

    The primary duties and responsibilities of the Rad Tech are listed as follows:

    • Ensures superior patient experience by embracing the J4K mission and values, while treating all with compassion and respect.
    • Prepares patients for radiologic procedure and takes X-Rays while following established protocol and procedures for patient care and safety.
    • Ensures all radiographs are interpreted by clarifying discrepancies.
    • Uses necessary radiation protection and shielding materials.
    • Logs all radiologic procedures and processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
    • Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
    • Performs basic medical assistant duties, which include but are not limited to: rooming patients, taking vitals and patient histories, obtaining chief complaint, completing approved point of care lab testing, and discharging patients.
    • Ensures sterile technique with patient procedures, instrument cleaning and sterilization.
    • Assists providers and RNs with various medical procedures.
    • Maintains confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).

    The preferred Radiologic Technologist will have the following qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED.
    • Radiologic Technologist Certification and registry maintenance through ARRT.
    • Current BLS Certificate
    • Proficient in the English language
