Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees radiologic services, maintains technical aspects of radiologic safety and evaluates accuracy and quality of X-rays. Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Radiologic Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    The Radiologic Technologist I under the general direction of a radiologist and Radiology Administration is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic fluoroscopic emergency and specialized procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Provides Radiology services to all ages.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • Current and valid CRT Permit (California) required.
    • Current and valid Fluoroscopy Permit (California) required.
    • Current and valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.
    • Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) required.
    • Understanding of sterile techniques.
    • Ability to follow protocols. Ability to develop successful relationships with patients and physicians. Can identify areas of concern and take accurate images. Ability to discern emergent situations.
    • This position requires skills in Diagnostic Radiology Surgery (c-arm) and Fluoroscopy procedures. Must meet all Radiologic Technology I competencies

    Preferred:

    • AS in Radiologic Sciences preferred. 
    • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience as a radiologic technologist preferred. 
    • ARRT credentials in any of the following (CT) (N) (T) (MR) (S) (M) (QM) (BD) (CV) (CI) (VI) (VS) (BS) preferred.
