Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees radiologic services, maintains technical aspects of radiologic safety and evaluates accuracy and quality of X-rays. Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Radiologic Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    OrthoNY has open positions for Radiologic Technologist. This position will produce quality diagnostic medical radiographs to ensure proper diagnosis and quality patient care. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    ·  Document an appropriate patient history containing pertinent patient information regarding their condition and including patient limitations;

    ·  Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education;

    ·  Select and operate equipment; recognize essential condition for successful completion of procedure; 

    ·  Perform Medical Assistant duties when required such as cast removal, stitches and staple removal, dressing changes and other patient needs;

    ·  Assisting physician in patient care as requested;

    ·  Other responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·  Minimum of graduation from an accredited school in radiologic technology;

    ·  1- 2 years of Radiologic Technology experience preferred; New graduates encouraged to apply;

    ·  Excellent communication and customer service skills;

    ·  CPR Preferred.

    OTHER INFORMATION

    ·  This is an “in office” position in a safe work environment (COVID safety protocols in effect).

    ·  Travel between offices will be required.
