The Vice President (VP/CSEO) is a senior leadership role reporting to the President. The primary responsibility of the VP/CSEO is accountability for the institution’s most important asset—the student. This role is responsible for the entire student journey from marketing, through recruitment, to successful graduation. The VP/CSEO is responsible for both the experience of the student in addition to the successful growth of student enrollment.

Compensation: Grade 21: $165,000 - $200,000 DOE (Exempt/Salary).
Primary Work Location: Hybrid - Works regularly from LAPU San Dimas, CA and home office as agreed by manager.
Required Experience / Education
- Christian Commitment: vital Christian faith and lifestyle both personally and professionally.
- Master’s degree in leadership, business, or administrative field.
- Ten years of significant student enrollment and/or admissions experience in higher education
- Two years of executive leadership, preferably as Vice-President, with responsibility for the attainment of annual enrollment goals, student success, and retention in an online learning environment.
Primary Accountabilities:
As a member of the executive team, the VP/CSEO exercises primary responsibility for the following areas:
- Leading Los Angeles Pacific University’s efforts to provide higher education opportunities through strategic alliances and partnerships.
- Accountable for the enrollment and retention of students/units through the development of a Strategic Enrollment Plan.
- Serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
- Provides strategic interpretation of student enrollment and success best practices of trends in Christian higher education, while assessing their applicability to Los Angeles Pacific University’s mission and goals.
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for the enrollment and student experience of Los Angeles Pacific University students outside of teaching.
- Developing, implementing, and adapting short-term and long-term (multi-year) strategic planning goals for enrollment and student life initiatives in alignment with Los Angeles Pacific University’s mission and goals.
- Administrative oversight for personnel, staff professional development, recruiting, admissions, financial aid, student mentoring and spiritual formation, quality control, budget, and new initiatives, with team members being remote or hybrid.
- Acts as ombudsman for students (receives complaints and concerns) and negotiates to resolve conflicts.
- Oversees the implementation of controls and systems in functional areas to ensure Los Angeles Pacific University standards and best practices, meeting audit and government regulations for compliance with student financial services.
- Develops a strategic direction for a diverse array of student engagement services and programs that support the academic and student lifecycle needs of the institution.
- Prepares and oversees the annual financial planning and monthly budget process for functional areas within their span of care.
- Provides leadership for the branding, marketing and outreach activities of the university.
- Required to work a Saturday commencement event each calendar year.
- Carries out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the President.

- The VP/CSEO is responsible for carrying out LAPU’s Christian faith and mission by hiring Godly employees who embody the Christian faith in their daily living and by providing spiritual support and care to employees in their span of care through praying with employees regarding their dreams and challenges, sharing devotional messages and providing their team members with spiritual counseling. The Vice President is assessed annually on their performance in accomplishing these vital tasks.
