     What You'll Do

    The Chief Development Officer is responsible for the strategic leadership of fund development to support Siloam Health's mission.  The CDO also works with the CEO to optimize the alignment of initiatives and strategies and to ensure brand consistency through all parts of the organization, internally and externally. The CDO directly supervises the Director of Development, Director of Donor Relations, and Director of Communications.

    • Lead a sustainable development plan encompassing major gifts, corporate giving, church giving, annual giving, monthly giving, donor recognition, cross-sector partnerships, and brand strategy.
    • Lead the Development Department in planning, implementing, and executing comprehensive fundraising programs with multimillion-dollar annual development targets, aligning department goals and efforts with the organization’s broader strategic efforts.
    • Work closely with the Director of Donor Relations to grow the existing major gifts and planned giving program.
    • Balance efforts to seek out and develop new funding sources while also maintaining a strong donor retention rate.
    • Work with the Director of Development to execute revenue-generating events with the involvement of key Siloam and community volunteers.
    • Cultivate a dynamic relationship with the Board and all relevant committees as directed by the CEO, primarily the development committee.
    • Oversee brand strategy and external communications, including but not limited to, website, print pieces, digital communications, and social media. 
    • Serve as a member of Siloam’s Senior Leadership Team team.
    • Develop strategies and lead prospecting for sizable federal and state grants that support both Siloam’s ongoing work and ways the organization plans to grow.
    • Participate in ongoing quality improvement (QI) activities within the roles defined above.

    Who We Are Looking For

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in non-profit development
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading staff and volunteers

    Qualifications

    • Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
    • Willingness to serve persons with limited access to healthcare and who are from different cultures and faith beliefs
    • Energized by leading a team and aggressive revenue goals
    • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products
    • Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
