    The Role

    Under general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for overseeing management of clinical and quality activities to ensure adherence to the clinical model, reviewing/confirming that evidence-based practices are being performed with fidelity, and monitoring and evaluating program clinical outcomes, with a goal of developing and delivering sophisticated and effective treatment to those we serve. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village (SDV) and Samaritan Daytop Health (SDH).

    Responsibilities

    What You Will Do

    • Responsible for the hiring and supervising of the Vice President of Quality Improvement and Compliance, various program evaluation staff, Samaritan Daytop Preparatory School staff, and Samaritan Daytop Health Operations and Clinical staff.
    • This position acts as senior lead in directing and providing behavioral health/clinical oversight and consultation to programs.
    • Develop and implement a plan to monitor clinical staff activities to ensure adherence to the clinical model, including monitoring groups, therapy sessions, and ancillary services as needed.
    • Develop and provide leadership over the development of a competency-based trauma-informed clinical curriculum and training program for all staff.
    • Develop an organizational clinical supervision structure and partners to develop a multidisciplinary case conference structure that achieves integration of SDV and SDH programs.
    • Work with program Vice Presidents to establish a unified structure for utilization and peer review, when needed.
    • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, track KPIs, provide written and verbal reports as requested.
    • Responsible for the design and implementation of clinical measurements in the organizations’ electronic health record.
    • Develop and monitor the plan to ensure adherence to all Joint Commission and CARF standards that impact clinical programming and staffing.
    • Responsible for ensuring that quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements are met across the agency system of care and work with program Vice Presidents to ensure that all senior staff are informed of current procedures.
    • Assist the Program Executives and other senior staff in accurately measuring the effectiveness of services, the efficiency of services, services access, and satisfaction and other feedback from the persons served and other stakeholders.
    • Work with senior staff to monitor the continuum of care and ensure sites are clinically effective through a system of measurement.

    Qualifications

    Who You Will Be

    • Relevant graduate degrees, such as a Public Health, Social Work, or other related fields with extensive experience in the delivery of clinical services.
    • Ten (10 ) years management/leadership within OASAS, OMH, DHS, or DOH regulated programs.
    • Minimum Ten (10) years demonstrated clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment.
    • Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to participant and staff needs.
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Experience and comfort working both within residential and ambulatory setting preferred.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with astute ability to articulately present material in front of large audience.
