Position Announcement: Associate Dean of Student & Career Services
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 annually
Southwestern College is seeking a dynamic, visionary, collaborative, and student-centered leader to serve as the Dean of Student Affairs in a student-centered, transformational, partnership-based, and consciousness-centered educational environment. The incumbent will be responsible for leadership and oversight of student affairs and coordinating closely with academic program leadership to support student retention and success. Key responsibilities include ensuring student services are operating efficiently and effectively, implementing policies and processes for ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive educational campus climate, and ensuring students have access to an array of resources to successfully complete their academic programs. Student services areas of oversight include Financial Aid, Registrar, Bursar, student coaching/support, student conduct, career services, student retention initiatives, co-curricular activities, the graduate assistant program, ADA, FERPA, and Title IX. The Dean supports the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs in data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform continuous improvement of student services and academic programs. The Dean serves as a member of the Academic Council.
Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field with three (5) or more years of successful administrative experience in higher education including supervisory experience. Reports to the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs. Position is open until filled.
