Job Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will run the day-to-day operations of the organization effectively and efficiently, from planning large events in advance to executing all the follow-up on activities needed to ensure a successful and timely operation. The COO will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations effectively and efficiently, acting in line with the overall company goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will be critical in transforming the organization to scale to the next level, going from a 100 employee high growth start-up with a single product, to thousands of employees with multiple products and a more mature yet high growth organization.
This leader will excel at organization-wide scaling and execution. The COO will be part of the Executive Leadership Team and work closely with the CEO, President, and the rest of Executive Leadership Team.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the Operations Dept, including but not limited to IT, logistics, booking, etc.
Set the pace for the entire organization regarding automation, systems, processes, workflow, logistics, and execution.
Lead and develop a team across multiple locations and over various functions.
Work with Executive Leadership Team and other department heads on effective and efficient planning, management, systems, processes, automation, workflow, logistics, and execution.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Work with CEO, President, Chief Strategy Officer, and Executive Leadership Team in establishing and implementing the long-term, annual, and quarterly strategic plans and objectives.
Build systems and infrastructure to support a high growth and high-performance organization.
Guide the members of Executive Leadership Team in all manners related to resource planning and allocation, systems design and implementation, management, automation, process, and workflow creation and execution, as well efficient and effective execution.
Understand and drive the key performance and financial metrics and results.
Communicate and implement the strategic plan and direction for the company.
Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement across the organization.
Oversee the implementation of company strategies created by the executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, tech management and acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
Review the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company’s objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
Establish, communicate, and implement effective policies and procedures throughout the organization.
Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
Establish and administer the department’s budget.
Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the CEO and other leadership.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends, while creating and implementing new systems, tools, software, and tech to help the company operate a higher level.
Foster a success-oriented, positive culture and accountable environment within the company.
Perform other related duties as needed.
