Directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. Being a Chief Technology Officer monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the company's products and performance. Establishes technology standards and communicates technical information to the organization. Additionally, Chief Technology Officer typically requires an advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Typically reports to Chief Information Officer or Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Technology Officer manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

    Develops and implements annual and long-range financial strategics and supporting tactical plans to facilitate ongoing business activities, and future investment strategies.  Creates and maintains ongoing relationships with bankers, tax accountants, insurance providers, corporate financial planners, etc.  Develops and/or enhances current financial processes to ensure timely and accurate data as required by the company and its officers and falls in line with GAAP.  Develops and maintains cash flow plans to adequately fund day-to-day operations, equipment and tooling purchases, M&A activities, major CapEx programs, etc.  Ensure compliance with all banking covenants.


    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Develop annual financial plan which maximizes cash flow, increases profitability, reduces risk, optimizes federal and state taxes, provides for CapEx investments, etc.

    2. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual P&L Statement, Balance Sheet, Tax Planning Documents, etc.

    3. Establish and/or maintain financial KPI’s that track key financial metrics for all Business Units (BU).

    4. Works with 3rd party accounting and tax professionals on an ongoing basis to ensure proper deployment of investments/cash and overall investment strategies to optimize company tax position. 

    5. Manages the activity of the controller and his group in the creation and ongoing maintenance of all financial processes and documents.

    6. Works with 3rd Party Insurance Provider on developing cost efficient approaches for the company, while optimizing the company’s investments.

    7. Evaluates the organization’s financial position and issues periodic reports on organization’s financial position (i.e. monthly, quarterly, and annually). 

    8. Coordinates tax reporting programs with 3rd party tax accountants and financial advisors.

    9. Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.

    10. Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions, and their impact on the organization’s policies and operations.

    11. Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities which are in alignment with annual growth strategies.

    12. Coordinate Annual Sales plan with Chief Sales Officer, which considers growth strategies for Casing, Drilling and Trucking.


     Secondary Responsibilities

    1. Works with all location managers on annual budget creation and KPI tracking.

    2. Works with HR Mgr. to ensure the company stays compliant with all local, state and federal requirements.

    3. Ensures that monthly/quarterly audits are performed of all locations as it relates to compliance, and documents and stores results.

    4. Audit financial processes quarterly to ensure compliance with GAAP.

    5. All other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.



    Requirements

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CFO (i.e. prefer oil and gas experience)

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing and/or assisting with M&A activity

    • Minimum of 5 of years of experience as a controller

    • Minimum 5 years of experience using Microsoft Dynamics

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Tax Consultants, Financial Advisors, etc.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing a Controller and his responsibilities


    Travel Requirements

    Minimum travel requirement of 25%.  Travel on a minimum of every 3 months to Noble locations, or as required to support ongoing operations and/or request by Noble Leadership.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience                   

    Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting from four-year College or university

    CPA is desired.

    MBA is desired. 

    Min. of 5 years of experience as a controller

    Min. of 5 years of experience in overseeing corporate taxes


    Language Skills                   

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Mathematical Skills                   

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


    Reasoning Ability                   

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Other Skills and Abilities                   

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which has ongoing changes in finances due to the volatility of the market and its customers.

    • Detailed focused with an emphasis clarity and accuracy of data
