Description

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides leadership to the governance and operations of Zumbro Valley Health Center. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO works in partnership with them to set the strategic direction and implement operational plan to meet the mission of the organization. The CEO establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with the staff, communities, governments, payers, sources of referrals, and all other stakeholders in the area served.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for communicating effectively with the board by providing timely and accurate information specifically as it relates to accomplishing the strategic goals and operating objectives
• Makes recommendations to the Board for new and/or significant changes to programs, policies, plans, and objectives
• Informs the Board of internal and external trends and important issues that affect the current and long-term work of the organization
• Provides vision and leadership for the organization’s strategic planning efforts and budgetary prioritization
• Leads the management team in the planning, implementation and management of all aspects of the organization, including the management of staff working at multiple physical locations
• Focuses on the professional development of staff, working closely with the management team to implement methodologies and mechanisms by which staff can continue to grow in their knowledge, skills and abilities
• Maintains an awareness of industry trends and implements best practices to ensure the agency is a high-quality provider of services
• Ensures the requirements for licensure are met and that all activities of Zumbro Valley are conducted in compliance with IRC 501(c)(3) status
• Oversees fiscal management and budget planning process and ensures the organization maintains financial viability to meets its mission
• Builds effective partnerships and engagement with elected officials, governmental agencies, and other key community stakeholders to improve and enhance access and service to people with behavioral health issues

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Behavioral Science Field, Management, Business, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory, budgeting, and management experience in a Health or Human Services organization
• Grant writing experience
