SUMMARY:

The Army Sustainment Command (ASC) has a current requirement to procure Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) mission services in support of its mission worldwide. This support may include, but is not limited to, technical support services, network support, system administration, telecommunications, computer security, cybersecurity, system software and hardware support and maintenance to include data and metric assistance for lifecycle replacement, support to organizational Information Management Offices (IMOs) and S6 offices for information asset management, and mobile computing device support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide network support (i.e., prepare and submit port, protocol, and service requests for submission for customer approval) where required; including, but not limited to, installation, configuration, maintaining and decommissioning servers, firewall devices, intrusion detection devices and intrusion prevention systems, as required.
• Support all technical phases of networking system sustainment.
• Formulate logical designs of system problems, devise and implement procedures for solutions to those problems. Complete and maintain operational and technical documentation.
• Complete and maintain operational and technical documentation.
• Ensure proponent review and concurrence of excluded systems list at least quarterly.
• Manage operations and lifecycle support, including but not limited to software upgrade requirements, outages, capacity planning, rack and floor space management, server management, and logical access controls management.
• Document and implement new and ongoing business processes that specify special handling procedures for excluded systems to minimize risk to critical mission processes.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have the management experience to back up and support the Program Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification: CCNA and MCSA or MCSE plus baseline certification as stipulated in DoD 8570.01 and DoD 8570.01-M
• Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Levels I and II (Security )
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• It is preferred to have 10 years’ experience in electronics, data communications or telecommunications positions is preferred with progressive experience designing and/or installing CANs/LANs.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other business related is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as leading/mentoring subordinate staff members.
• Aids with complex networking issues to less experienced team members.
• Capable of documenting and implementing new and ongoing business processes that specify special handling procedures for excluded systems to minimize risk to critical mission processes.
• At a minimum, qualified to monitor network-monitoring activities daily to ensure all production environments are fully functional, available and meeting performance specifications and shall notify the Government within 30 minutes of any issues/concerns.
• Able to configure the automatic paging software, which monitors the temperature of the Server Room, to notify specific individuals as specified by IMD government management.
• Skilled to track in real time, the lifecycle of each network device and provide LCM replacement recommendations or introduction of new hardware with IMD government management monthly and additionally as needed.
• Equipped to provide operational support for all LAN hardware (routers and switches) and software, including connectivity between the network devices and segments.
