Job Summary and Qualifications

Ultrasound Tech

As an Ultrasound Tech you will perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures using Ultrasound for the purpose of detecting pathology. You will regulate the equipment used to produce the ultrasound and send images to PACS and assist in the daily operation of the Ultrasound Department.

Tasks and responsibilities, you will:

• Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique.
• Produces diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or pregnancy ultrasound.
• Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to organ to be examined, depth of field and other specifications of test.
• Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment.
• Assists with transporting patients.

Position Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences or Ultrasound Technology
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARDMS
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist
• Current BLS Certification

General Comments

Additional Info:

• Shift would be a mid-shift position 10:00a to 8:30p Monday through Friday with the potential of shift being flexible according to availability of applicant ie: option of 3 twelves and/or weekend shifts. 
• On-Call would vary depending on shift but would be required weekdays if that shift is opted for or every 3^rd weekend. 

• Salary Range: Min $27.09 Mid $32.51 Max $37.92
