We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist the oral surgeon during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays as instructed by the oral surgeon
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the needs of the oral surgeon
- Educate patients on pre/post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe dental environment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant work experience is preferred, but not required. You will be trained on the job and your dental assistant certification will need to be obtained after one year
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Wage: Pay is negotiable based on certifications already obtained and/or will be reevaluated upon obtaining dental assistant certification.
