Chief of Surgery jobs in Salt Lake City, UT

We are looking for a Surgery Coordinator to schedule and get authorization and schedule surgeries for our two surgeons in our growing practice. 1-2 years experience in healthcare preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate with other surgeons office and hospitals to coordinate surgeons surgeries
• Obtain authorization/pre-d for each procedure
• Calculate and notifying the patient of any costs that need to be collected regarding their deductible and/or coinsurance
• Schedule patients for surgery
• Ensure the patient has signed consents leading up to surgery
• Work as the liaison between the patients, insurance companies, and medical providers
• Manage the surgery schedule for a provider

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Working knowledge of Medical terminology

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS:

• Works all shifts as scheduled and assigned

• This is a full-time position

• No weekends

• Must attend monthly staff meetings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
