Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. This is a leadership role that requires strong managerial skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Manage and coordinate patient care activities, including admissions, assessments, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing personnel
- Oversee the implementation of electronic medical record systems and other healthcare management systems
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in nursing practice
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Valid nursing license in the state of California
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing administration or a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare systems
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a team
This position offers the wonderful flexibility of perdiem/part-time work with no holidays, weekends or evenings with added benefit of being partially remote from home for several hours a week.
Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $52.00 - $65.00 per hour
