Chief of Surgery directs the staff and programs of the surgical department. Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Being a Chief of Surgery requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Chief of Surgery require extensive clinical experience. Typically reports to top management. The Chief of Surgery manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. - We have a full-time opportunity available. We have added a second surgeon to our practice and we are looking for a dynamic team player to join our fast paced, caring team at Ballard Oral Surgery as a Surgical Assistant. Hours range between 32-40 per week.
- Responsibilities include assisting our surgeons during consultations and procedures, capturing digital radiographs (CBCT, periapical and panoramic), providing patient education and post-operative care as well as maintaining the facility for optimal patient experience.
- Experience with intravenous anesthesia is a plus.
