Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Administers recruiting and staffing processes. Being a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) provides training and professional development for staff. Oversees enrollment activities, communications, and events that foster positive relations with families and the community. Additionally, Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) ensures that the activities and surroundings meet the needs of children and provide safety and security. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent. Depending on the location, may require a state specific director certification or a more general certification such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). Typically requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Typically reports to senior management. The Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Elevate Child Care Center provides services to children ages 2.5-12. We currently have an opening for Full-Time employment for our Full Day PreK and After School Programs. Applicant must be available Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: designing, preparing, and/or implementing lesson plans for PreK classrooms or for group activities and clubs for school-aged children, modeling and teaching appropriate behaviors, general cleaning/tidying, and most importantly, supporting our Elevate families by providing a safe, structured, and loving environment for the children in care.
