Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Administers recruiting and staffing processes. Being a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) provides training and professional development for staff. Oversees enrollment activities, communications, and events that foster positive relations with families and the community. Additionally, Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) ensures that the activities and surroundings meet the needs of children and provide safety and security. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent. Depending on the location, may require a state specific director certification or a more general certification such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). Typically requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Typically reports to senior management. The Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     We are seeking a reliable childcare worker with lots of energy and patience. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting with stimulating and age-appropriate games/tasks, coming up with creative and educational activities, and maintaining a clean environment for the children. To be successful as a childcare worker, you need to have a love for children, understand the principles of child development, be physically fit and able to care for their basic needs, and be informed about what to do in an emergency situation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES

    • Demonstrate competency, good judgment, self-control in the presence of children & when performing assigned responsibilities
    • Relate to children with courtesy, respect, acceptance, & patience
    • Recognize & respect the uniqueness & potential of all children, their families, & their cultures
    • Ensure no child is abused, neglected, or exploited while in the care of the center
    • Report suspected abuse, neglect, & exploitation to DFPS as specified in the Texas Family Code
    • Organize & teach curriculum for your classroom, along with planning activities & crafts
    • Use a range of teaching methods (i.e., storage, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child's abilities
    • Know & comply with the minimum standards for child-care centers
    • Know which children you are responsible for, along with their names & have information showing each child's age
    • Supervise children at all times & ensure children are safe & well behave

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

    • Must pass a background check and state fingerprints
    • Be First Aid and CPR certified or Attend CPR and First Aid class
    • Complete a notarized Licensing Affidavit
    • Complete 24 hours of pre-service training
    • Be willing to teach a Christian curriculum
    • Always be patient, loving, & attentive to children

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $10.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
