Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Administers recruiting and staffing processes. Being a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) provides training and professional development for staff. Oversees enrollment activities, communications, and events that foster positive relations with families and the community. Additionally, Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) ensures that the activities and surroundings meet the needs of children and provide safety and security. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent. Depending on the location, may require a state specific director certification or a more general certification such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). Typically requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Typically reports to senior management. The Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     This position requires availability between 8-6, final schedule determined in hiring process.

    Employee requirements:

    • Providing care for children, such as maintaining schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers and cleaning rooms and toys.
    • Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as manners, sharing, ect.
    • Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to the director.
    • Helping children discover new interests by introducing them to art, music, sports, and other potential hobbies.
    • Preparing children to enter the next level of care or for entry to school.
    • Working with parents to help progress towards educational and behavioral goals.
    • Helping with lesson planning and art prepping
    • Establishing relationships with parents and children that are nurturing and warmhearted.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized classroom & age-appropriate learning centers
    • Applying proper hygiene practices such as hand washing and diapering procedures
    • Following all policies and procedures in 'Little Champs Child Care Center’ handbook
    • Ensuring all curricular activities are within guidelines of the childcare center.
    • Performing job duties with a positive, loyal and professional attitude
    • Honoring and respecting all children
    • Following city and state procedures of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting entire classroom

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • High-school diploma/graduate is required.
    • Previous experience in childcare required.
    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Must be able to perform the physical duties of the position (leaning, kneeling, standing, light-lifting)
    • Must be certified in Infant and Pediatric CPR & First Aid
    • Must complete/apply or pass the Central Registry Criminal and Child Abuse background Check with Health and Welfare

    Qualifications

    • Childcare experience: 1-2 year (preferred)
    • Boise City License or we can help you take steps to get one

    ** Hourly Rates will be decided as per the experience and skill set

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
