Minimum Qualifications:
ECE degree/classes and/or experience in child care desirable but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Organizing activities with the children in accordance with the curriculum as prepared by the Head Teacher.
2. Prepare materials for the Teacher for planned activities.
3. Diapering and potty training as necessary.
4. Aide Teacher in cleaning classroom.
5. Other duties as assigned which may include but are not limited to: a) Cleaning. up CDC kitchen and b) Organizing CDC kitchen and supplies.
Requirements prior to employment:
1. All employees who are 18 years of age and older are required to submit finger prints to local and federal repositories for background checks prior to start date. APPLICANT COST: $8 for one finger print cards payable to Carson City Sheriff's Dept.
2) Federal background check APPLICANT COST: $36.25
3) TB skin test clearance EMPLOYEE COST: Varies
Requirements for the duration of employment:
1. Employees must take the State of Nevada required initial training within the first 90 days of employment.
2. Employees must take annual hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related subjects every licensing year of employment.
