Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations.     SUMMARY: The Director of the Center of Hope/CARE Center/Family Programs has full responsibility for the planning, development, implementation, administration, monitoring, and evaluation of all St. Vincent de Paul CARES programs as assigned.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed.  Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.     • Exercise independent discretion in managing the Center of Hope
    • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and supervise staff 
    • Plan, coordinate and manage Center of Hope and CARE Center activities 
    • Oversee Center of Hope and CARE Center staff
    • Direct the development and implementation of Action Plans, programs, classes, workshops and activities, including those related to peer mentoring, outreach and aftercare for graduates of the Center of Hope 
    • Provide back-up to the Case Manager II in the screening, assessment and processing of prospective clients seeking admission to the Center 
    • Maintain a database of both current and discharged clients, as well as statistical records in order to produce monthly and annual reports 
    • Prepare both Center’s annual budget, monitor same, and provide an accounting of client program fees, per diem billing and other necessary bookkeeping information 
    • Maintain a close working relationship with funders, including the development of an annual report and coordination of funder visits  
    • Monitor clients’ medication at times and conduct random alcohol and/or drug testing and document results  
    • Monitor client adherence to program rules 
    • Maintain health and safety standards 
    • Institute and monitor “behavioral contracts” with clients who have infringed upon the strict program rules of the both Centers and, if necessary, call together and participate in Grievance Committee reviews  
    • Chair program staff meetings and participate in agency Management staff meetings
    • Make outreach visits to maintain contacts with other agencies to keep them aware of the programs’ capabilities 
    • Actively participate in the PQI System and serve on the PQI Council and participate on other PQI Teams as assigned
    • Ensure Staff are trained in harm reduction, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
    • Operate all programs so that there are very low and/or no barriers to receiving assistance
    • Ensure all programs participate in and accepts referral from the Coordinated Entry System and participates in efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of referrals when necessary.
    • Oversees all Programs data entry in Pinellas Homeless Information System (PHMIS) is accurate and timely. 
    • Tracks individuals and/or families who were housed with assistance from the Rapid Re-Housing Program in order to ensure they are permanently housed 12-months after they have been rapidly re-housed.
    • Monitor all financial requests to ensure grant compliance and verify all funds are properly dispersed in a timely fashion
    • Monitor all outreach efforts to recruit new prospective landlords
    • Ensures all programs are complying and are operating within the parameters prescribed by their perspective funders and funding sources

    • Comply with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs  
    • Contribute positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team 
    • Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the St. Vincent de Paul CARES Mission

    GENERAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
