Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Administers recruiting and staffing processes. Being a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) provides training and professional development for staff. Oversees enrollment activities, communications, and events that foster positive relations with families and the community. Additionally, Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Overview
This position is for someone who loves children! The Court Child Care Center is operated by Families First NC Inc., a local non-profit organization. The child care center is drop in style and is located within the Salisbury Court House. The center provides a safe, nurturing and playful environment for children while parents or other caregivers conduct business in the courthouse. The center is open during court house hours and their is no fee for the service.
We welcome children ages 0 - 12 years.
This position is a minimum of 20 hours per week and includes the following schedule:
Monday & Wednesday - 2pm-5pm
Tuesday & Thursday - 8:30am-1pm
Friday 8am-1pm
Candidates must be able to work additional hours (up to 37.5 total) when the Center Program Manager is away.
Job Qualifications
Minimum of high school education with experience working with young children. Education or training in child development area a plus. Must be willing to obtain and maintain first aid and CPR training. Enjoys children and is personable and nurturing. Good organizational skills. Must be willing to complete a background check and should have reliable transportation.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Assist with the day to day operations of the Court Child Care Center.
2. Follow procedures for operations to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in the Center’s care.
3. Be engaged and interactive with the children in a way that promotes an age appropriate fun and safe environment for children of all ages.
4. Complete all daily documentation as required.
5. Maintain working relationships and communication with court personnel and security in meeting the needs of children attending the Center.
6. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with caregivers
7. Assist with set up and clean up each day
8. Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
