Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) jobs in Sioux City, IA

I am seeking a full- or part-time childcare assistant for my in-home family childcare program. A successful candidate must possess a passion for children, display a friendly and positive attitude, and greet parents and children by their names. You will constantly monitor and supervise children to ensure their safety, interact with them on their level, and take advantage of teaching moments when possible.

Childcare Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing support to the childcare owner and other employees
• Monitoring and supervising children
• Assisting in maintaining a safe and positive environment
• Cultivating relationships with children and parents
• Alerting the childcare owner to emergencies
• Preparing and serving meals and snacks
• Greeting parents and children
• Adhering to procedures in preparing a bottle, changing a diaper, and cleaning duties
• Assisting with playground activities
• Assisting with the care of infants
• Teaching and following a daily schedule
• Consistently planning innovative ways of keeping children actively engaged
• Imparting knowledge to children through fun and play
• Ensuring the social and emotional growth of children

Childcare Assistant Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Have your own reliable transportation
• Excellent communication skills

Additional:

• Must be able to pass a background check and have no criminal record
• Must be fingerprinted as per licensing requirements
• Be willing to get First Aid and CPR certified if needed
• Basic on-the-job training
• Must be EXTREMELY outgoing, energetic, and reliable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
