Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the operations of our child care facility. The Child Care Director will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage a team, and a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the facility
- Create and maintain a curriculum that promotes learning and development in accordance with state regulations
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise child care staff
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members
- Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or issues related to their child's care
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, enrollment, and other administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and regulations
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility, including cleanliness and safety standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children in an educational setting
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of higher education teaching principles and practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
