Assistant Director
Duties:
- Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing educational programs and activities
- Collaborate with staff to develop curriculum and ensure it aligns with educational standards
- Support the Director in managing daily operations of the organization
- Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees
- Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain open communication with parents, addressing any concerns or questions
- Assist in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Handle administrative tasks such as record keeping, budget management, and scheduling
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred )must meet Star 4 qualifications to maintain position i.e. director credential is required within one year) must be willing to enroll to obtain credential.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or similar role
- Strong knowledge of educational principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in computer applications related to educational administration
- must obtain a director's credential/ must enroll in program in first 30-45 days pending program openings and availability.
- knowledgeable in or willing to learn how to conduct assessments
- have an understanding of DHS regulations, star standards and cacfp program.
