    POSITION SUMMARY
    Early Childhood Education Programs Manager
    Location: Everett Schedule: 1.0FTE Salary: $26.44-$31.25
    The Early Childhood Education Program Manager is directly responsible for the daily operations of our
    ECEAP preschool as well as the Casino Road Family Education Academy childcare. The Program Manager
    is a leader in Early Learning who has experience with the ECEAP model, reflective supervision of staff, and
    working in underserved communities. Our Early Learning programs, in the heart of the Casino Road
    neighborhood, serve many families for whom English is a second language, families with unstable
    housing, and families experiencing chronic stress. The ideal candidate can inspire others to perform at
    their best and hold the team accountable for meeting contractual obligations and quality standards.



    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    An Associate or higher degree, with the equivalent of 30 college quarter credits in Early Childhood
    Education (Pre-K- Grade 3). These 30 credits may be included in the degree or in addition to the
    degree.
    -OR-
    A valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education
    (Pre-K- Grade 3) or Early Childhood Special Education. 

    One year or more supervisory experience, ideally in supervision of staff working directly with
    children. 

    Use of a car and no restrictions on the ability to drive around Snohomish County 
    Proficiency with web-based platforms such as zoom, and secure databases. 
    Skilled in communicating in spoken and written English, with the ability to read and process

    online data in English. 
    Demonstrates the ability to work with a diversity of individuals and groups, including teen

    parents, caregivers recovering from chemical addictions, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender
    caregivers, foster and kinship care providers, and families whose ethnic and cultural heritages
    may be quite different than one’s own


    Ability to get up and down stairs, bend down to play with children on the floor, and twist to

    maintain direct observation of mobile children 
    Ability to lift a child up to 50 lbs 
    Pass a DCYF Background Clearance allowing you to work with small children 
    Proof of COVID 19 vaccination


    Duties 

    Lead in the hiring, supervision, and training of ECEAP staff 
    Ensure that a proper staffing ratio of teachers to students is maintained, stepping in as

    classroom/recess support if necessary 
    Empower teachers to creatively apply the Creative Curriculum, and implement Teaching

    Strategies GOLD®, Second Step, and Conscious Discipline while integrating trauma-informed and
    restorative practices 

    Maintain a timeline for contract deliverables and ensure that intake paperwork, parent consent
    forms, standardized developmental screenings, health screenings, etc. are filed in a timely fashion 

    Provide support to Teachers in completing TSG documentation and checkpoints to meet
    deadlines, and Family Support Specialist in their home visit and documentation deadlines 

    Ensure accuracy of family contacts and information in a confidential database (ELMS) and
    maintain the privacy of all parties involved 

    Co-create with the Family Support Specialist and promote participation in parent group meetings,
    the Parent Advisory Council, and Family Nights 

    Complete routine program assessments to monitor compliance with ECEAP, Health and Safety,
    and Licensing Standards. Oversee and document monthly fire/earthquake drills and quarterly
    emergency preparedness drills 

    Coordinate with the County Nutrition, Health, and Mental Health Consultants to meet ECEAP
    expectations for child health and wellness, and oversee the safe administration, handling, and
    storage of medication 

    Facilitate weekly team meetings, provide Reflective Supervision to 5 staff, participate in
    ChildStrive Manager meetings, and All-Staff meetings, County Program Manager meetings, and
    supervisory meetings with the County Coordinator, and trainings as required by the agency or the
    County 

    Participate in ongoing reflective supervision through ChildStrive, approximately one hour per
    week 

    Order classroom supplies as needed, oversee menu and CACFP requirements 
    Other duties as required for the effectiveness and success of the Early Learning programs

    Founded in 1963, ChildStrive is a growing non-profit agency serving children and families in Snohomish and north
    King Counties. We are pioneers and respected leaders in providing family centered parenting support and early
    intervention services to pregnant women and young children birth through 3 years old.

    ChildStrive partners with families to support young children’s success in daily life and in the community.
    Our vision is that all children will succeed in school and in life.


    We serve our community through four programs:

    Early Supports serves families with children birth to three years of age who have a developmental delay or
    identified disability;
    Nurse Family Partnership serves first time pregnant women through pregnancy and until their child turns
    two years of age;
    Parents as Teachers serves families who are pregnant or have a young child who are living with trauma or
    chronic hardships, including housing instability or poverty.
    Outreach Counseling serves families who are pregnant or have a young child, who are recent immigrants, are low
    income, homeless or living in shelters, or who are isolated and lack support. We also provide counseling to
    children with demonstrated social-emotional needs in ECEAP programs, together with their families.
    Early Childhood Education Programs include ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) a high
    quality preschool and family development program for underserved families in partnership with Snohomish
    County and the State of Washington and the Casino Road Family Academy Childcare, which supports parents
    seeking their GED or ESL certificates.
