What You'll Do:
As the Child Care Program Director, you will lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of diverse programs aimed at nurturing and enriching the lives of children. Your role is vital in providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to our dedicated staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Club Director in staff hiring and training processes
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff, ensuring their success in their roles
- Conduct annual staff evaluations to ensure performance excellence
- Foster positive relationships with families, community partners, and school administrations
- Develop and implement programs tailored to the needs and interests of children and families
- Maintain a structured and engaging environment for staff, children, and parents
- Manage program budgets and expenses effectively
- Ensure compliance with childcare licensing requirements and grant management
- Offer guidance and positive discipline to youth, creating safe and supportive environments
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a two-year college degree or equivalent experience in youth services and management
- Demonstrated understanding of youth development principles, specifically for ages 6-12
- Proficiency in managing, motivating, and supervising staff
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Childcare certification (CCP, CDA, NAC, or similar) preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old with a good driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to stand for extended periods
