Child Life Program Director manages and directs pediatric programs, therapies, and activities among young patients. Evaluates programs and recommends changes to improve care for childhood hospitalizations or disabilities. Being a Child Life Program Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Child Life Program Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Under the supervision of the Clinic RN Manager, manages flow of clinic leading all staff in provision of medical and nursing care, ensuring high quality standards. Coordinates services with primary care Providers; acts as primary liaison. Triages and assesses participants as needed. Provides skilled nursing care to participants, implements orders, develops appropriate plans of care, provides participant, caregiver, family, and staff teaching and communicates participant’s condition to caregivers, primary care, and the interdisciplinary team. In the absence of the Clinic RN Manager, assumes his/her responsibilities, including oversight of all responsibilities for LPN, Clinical Assistants, and Clinic Clerk. May need to provide position support at another Inspira LIFE Center due to operational need.
As a multisite provider of PACE community-based services for seniors in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, an Inspira LIFE employee may work at either or both the Vineland or Williamstown LIFE Program as census changes or operational needs occur to meet the needs of our participants.
